The ability to turn it into a wide open balcony is probably the coolest feature but the mattress is also comfy, it fits my sleeping gear inside at all times, and it latches with a weather tight seal that prevents moisture, dust, and bugs from getting in while not in use.

It's easy to set up — it took me a few times to get the steps down, but I'd guess I could get it up and down in less than 5 minutes.

The black-out material is one of the best I've seen. It's dark (really dark) and even with a near full moon, there was almost zero light pollution, and we normally wake up immediately when the sun starts to come up but it was dark enough that we didn't wake up until well after sunrise.
